The anger in Miami is palpable. Legislators manipulated procedures and denied a vote on the gambling initiative rendering it "dead" until the next legislative season. Passage of the bill held hopes to bring many good jobs to Miami. The principals were going to spend billions in our community. The people who oppose this type of progress need to be held responsible for the stifling of something that could of saved our community. Why? Because they did so because of selfish reasons. This column will expose the evil doers for what they are. We will hold the legislators who keep their constituents in misery while they rake in special interest money accountable.

O.K. I'm in, too! What do we do to teach them a lesson and more importantly, reshape the state in a manner that is good for the people and not the special interests?

DeleteThe gambling reform bill was "killed" in the House Business and Consumer Affairs Sub-Committee. It was said that of the members 10 out of the 15 opposed the bill. It is a matter of determining who opposed it and letting them know their error. Here's the whole list:

Johnny, your effort is welcome. The crooks in that committee are only the beginning. Believe it or not, there are worse offenders among our legislators. I could name Thrasher or Dorworth but I would enjoy the followers of this site to do their homework and post it here for all of us to see and discuss.
